The College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University (GMU), in collaboration with its esteemed industry partner Dubai Medical Equipment (DME), successfully organized a lecture titled “New Era in Dentistry” on the 22nd of September 2025. The session was delivered by Dr. Amir Ibrik, Consultant for Harvard Dental International GMBH, Germany, and was attended by undergraduate dental students.
The lecture focused on the advances in restorative and biomimetic materials, with special emphasis on biophosphate dentin and a comparative discussion of biopowder dentin versus competitor products. Dr. Amir highlighted the clinical advantages, applications, and scientific evidence supporting these innovative materials in modern dental practice.
The interactive session concluded with engaging discussions, allowing students to gain valuable insights into how research-driven products are shaping the future of clinical dentistry.
