GMU’s College of Dentistry Conducts Lecture and Hands-On Workshop on the Art and Science of Ceramic Veneers in Collaboration with Industry Partner Biolink

The College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University (GMU), in collaboration with its industrial partner Biolink, conducted a workshop titled “Art and Science of Ceramic Veneers” on the 8th of January 2026. The session was facilitated by Dr. Diaaeldin Saad Awad Farag, Associate Professor of Fixed Prosthodontics, College of Dentistry, GMU.

The program comprised a comprehensive lecture followed by a hands-on training session at the Phantom Lab. The lecture addressed contemporary principles of veneer preparation design, material selection, adhesive protocols, and minimally invasive esthetic rehabilitation. Emphasis was placed on biomechanical considerations, bonding strategies, and long-term clinical success of ceramic restorations.

During the practical session, dental interns gained supervised experience in tooth preparation techniques and veneer workflow simulation, reinforcing precision and esthetic principles. The workshop strengthened participants’ understanding of evidence-based restorative protocols and contemporary advancements in esthetic dentistry.

Such initiatives reflect the College’s commitment to integrating scientific knowledge, clinical skill development, and industry collaboration in dental education.
