The College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University, organized a Faculty Development Session titled “From Frameworks to Action: Operationalizing NIHS Guidelines with GMU as a Model of Excellence” on the 16th of January 2026. The session was delivered by Prof. Walid Shaaban Moustafa Elsayed, Professor of Oral Histopathology and Associate Dean, College of Dentistry.
The session focused on translating National Institutional Health Standards (NIHS) frameworks into practical, actionable strategies within academic and clinical settings. Emphasis was placed on aligning institutional policies, teaching practices, assessment, and quality assurance processes with NIHS requirements, highlighting GMU’s best practices as a benchmark for excellence. The interactive discussion provided faculty members with clear insights into implementation strategies, continuous quality improvement, and institutional readiness, reinforcing the College’s commitment to academic excellence and regulatory compliance.
