Dr. Noor Yasir Aldabsa Master’s Thesis

The College of Dentistry (CoD), Gulf Medical University (GMU) proudly congratulates Dr. Noor Yasir Aldabsa, 3rd year postgraduate, MDS Periodontics Program, on the successful defense of her master’s thesis titled “Clinical Evaluation of Platelet-Rich Fibrin Membrane with or without Hyaluronic Acid Along with Coronally Advanced Flap in the Treatment of RT1 Gingival Recession,” on the 9th of July 2026.

The research investigated regenerative approaches to improve root coverage outcomes in gingival recession. The study evaluated the role of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) and hyaluronic acid in enhancing soft tissue healing and periodontal regeneration when used with the coronally advanced flap technique. The research contributes valuable evidence toward advancing minimally invasive and biologically driven periodontal therapy.

The thesis was supervised by Dr. Nesma Shemais, Assistant Professor of Periodontics, CoD, GMU, and co-supervised by Dr. Bhavna Jha Kukreja, Program Director, MDS Periodontics Program. The examination panel included Dr. Anirudh Acharya, Assistant Professor, Department of Restorative Dentistry, College of Dental Medicine, University of Sharjah, as the External Examiner, and Dr. Omar Ashour, Assistant Professor of Periodontics, CoD, GMU, as the Internal Examiner.
