Dr. Nermin Mahmoud, master practitioner Neuro-Linguistic Program, USA delivered the first session of the ‘Leadership Program’ on ‘Communication Skills’ on the 10th of May 2022 for dental students in leadership positions and faculty. The session was organized by the Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness Committee and the Student Happiness Center of CoD, GMU. The session focused on building effective dental communication skills by using the ‘Meta Language Model’, an integral component of the NLP technique. Clinical scenarios were enacted by voluntary student participants to understand the implications of NLP in dentistry. Furthermore, the session also highlighted the characteristics of a leader, an imperative professional requirement.
