The College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University (GMU) is proud to celebrate the success of dental student Ms. Dimah Jamal Aljohar, who created an innovative dental planner/logbook titled ‘Mediplanner – A Dental Edition’. She was felicitated for this milestone achievement by Prof. Walid Elsayed, Associate Dean, College of Dentistry, GMU.
Developed as part of her research, this unique planner reflects her vision to help dental students balance academic, clinical, and personal life. Mediplanner is officially registered with the UAE Ministry of Economics and carries a copyright license, underscoring its originality and authenticity.
The planner creatively integrates essential clinical cheat sheets covering vital references such as tooth numbering systems, extraction sequences, clinical manifestations of frequently occurring diseases, and an overview of the types of local anesthesia with their recommended doses. It also features calendars and dedicated sections for patient notes, making it both a practical and time-saving tool for students.
Through this innovation, Ms. Dimah showcases the fusion of creativity, research, and practical need, offering students a resource that supports both academic performance and professional development.
