The College of Dentistry (CoD), Gulf Medical University (GMU) proudly congratulates Dr. Abdullah Qouja Mohamad, 3rd year MDS Periodontics Postgraduate student, on the successful defense of his master’s thesis titled “Evaluation of Periodontal Parameters Following Non-Surgical Periodontal Therapy With and Without Adjunctive Use of Er-YAG Laser-Assisted Comprehensive Pocket Therapy (Er-LCPT): A Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial”, on the 22nd of Spetember 2026.
The research investigated advanced periodontal therapy techniques, specifically evaluating the adjunctive use of Er-YAG lasers alongside non-surgical treatments.
The thesis was supervised by Dr. Yahya Amer, Assistant Professor of Periodontics, College of Dentistry, GMU. The examination panel included Dr. Omnia Khaled Tawfik, Associate Professor, Faculty of Dentistry, Cairo University, as the External Examiner, and Dr. Nesma Shemais, Assistant Professor of Periodontics, CoD, GMU, as the Internal Examiner.
