The College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University, conducted a Community Outreach Oral Health Education Event at the Special Needs Future Development Center (SNF), Dubai, in collaboration with industry partner Curaprox on the 17th of February 2026. The initiative focused on promoting oral health awareness and preventive care among students with special needs.
The program featured engaging informational videos, interactive board games centered on oral health concepts, and hands-on demonstrations teaching correct toothbrushing techniques. Students actively participated in supervised brushing exercises designed to reinforce practical skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Nutrition-related discussions emphasized the role of diet in maintaining oral health, while specially designed brochures were distributed to parents and teachers to support continued preventive care at home and school. Giveaways for students and caretakers further encouraged sustained oral hygiene practices.
The outreach program reflected GMU’s commitment to inclusive community engagement, preventive dentistry, and strengthening partnerships that enhance oral health education for special needs populations.
