The College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University (GMU), in collaboration with industry partner Curaden Academy, conducted a community engagement educational event on 11th of June 2026 at the Sunrise Academy in Ajman. The initiative was designed for preschool children aged 2 to 5 years and focused on promoting oral health awareness through interactive and age-appropriate activities.
As part of the event, students from GMU’s Dental Internship Program volunteered to educate the children on proper oral hygiene practices. Using engaging demonstrations and fun educational props, the interns showed participants the correct way to brush their teeth and emphasized the importance of daily dental care.
The session successfully developed early awareness of oral hygiene habits among preschoolers in a fun and interactive environment. Such initiatives reinforce GMU’s commitment to community outreach and the promotion of preventive oral healthcare from an early age.
