The College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University, in collaboration with industry partner Dubai Medical Equipment (DME), successfully organized a hands-on workshop titled “Enhancing Knowledge, Skills & Innovation in Root Canal Therapy” on the 2nd of October 2025. The program aimed to strengthen the clinical competencies of dental students by integrating evidence-based techniques with the latest endodontic technologies.
The workshop was led by Prof. Hani F. Ounsi, an internationally recognized expert in endodontics, who emphasized innovation in root canal therapy through interactive lectures and live demonstrations. Participants were introduced to state-of-the-art instruments, devices, and materials, highlighting their role in improving treatment efficiency and long-term clinical outcomes.
Students engaged in hands-on training sessions, where they practiced advanced instrumentation and obturation methods under expert supervision. The program also focused on addressing procedural errors, enhancing tactile skills, and adopting ergonomic approaches for precision and safety in endodontic practice.
The workshop provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of modern endodontic trends, preparing them to deliver high-quality patient care.
