The College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University, organized an insightful career advising session titled “Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS-UK): Your Route from Student to Member in the UK.” The session was delivered by Dr. Fatima Mohammed, Clinical Instructor and distinguished GMU alumna on the 14th of November 2025.
The interactive session guided BDS students, interns, MDS postgraduates, and alumni through the MFDS-UK examination structure, eligibility requirements, and strategic preparation tips. Dr. Fatima shared her personal journey and practical advice on navigating the transition from undergraduate training to internationally recognized membership certification.
Participants gained valuable clarity on career progression opportunities in the UK and the steps required to pursue MFDS credentials. The event reflected GMU’s commitment to supporting students and graduates in their global professional development and career advancement.
