GMU’s College of Dentistry Conducts a Career Advising Session on Becoming a Clinical Instructor in Dentistry

The College of Dentistry at Gulf Medical University organized a Career Advising Session titled “Becoming a Clinical Instructor in Dentistry” on the 22nd of April 2026. The session was delivered by distinguished GMU alumni and Clinical Instructors, Dr. Fatima Abdul Rahman Mohammed, Dr. Aliasgar Naim Taskin, and Dr. Noura Teyah Hussein.

The presenters shared valuable insights into academic career pathways, highlighting the transition from clinical practice to teaching roles within dental education. Key topics included professional development, clinical teaching competencies, and opportunities within academic institutions. The session provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of the roles and responsibilities of clinical instructors, along with practical guidance on career planning.

The event was attended by BDS students, interns, MDS postgraduates, and alumni, enabling meaningful engagement and mentorship. The initiative reflects the College’s commitment to supporting career development and promoting academic excellence in dentistry.
