The College of Dentistry at Gulf Medical University (GMU) organized a specialized Bio-PRF training session titled “Regeneration Redefined with Bio-PRF” on 21st of April 2026, at Thumbay University Hospital, GMU. The session was delivered by Eng. Mohammed Alshaer, Biomedical Engineer at Thumbay Dental Hospital, GMU who provided comprehensive insights into the principles and clinical applications of Bio-PRF in regenerative dentistry.
The session focused on the biological basis of platelet-rich fibrin, its preparation protocols, and its role in enhancing tissue healing and regeneration in periodontal and surgical procedures. Emphasis was placed on evidence-based approaches and the integration of advanced biomaterials into clinical practice.
The training was specifically designed for Master of Dental Surgery Periodontics postgraduate students, offering valuable exposure to contemporary regenerative techniques. The initiative reflects the College’s commitment to advancing clinical training and incorporating innovative technologies in dental education.
