The College of Dentistry (CoD), Gulf Medical University, in collaboration with Total Core Academy, organized an insightful two-day academic program titled “Advanced Course in Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR): Improving the Predictability of Alveolar Ridge Augmentation – Avoiding Common Pitfalls” on the 1st and 2nd of November 2025. The course was delivered by Dr. Homa H. Zadeh, DDS, PhD, an eminent clinician, researcher, and founder of the VISTA Institute for Therapeutic Innovations.
Dr. Homa shared his extensive clinical expertise and scientific knowledge on contemporary regenerative techniques and evidence-based approaches to alveolar ridge augmentation. The workshop featured detailed case presentations, step-by-step GBR protocols, and hands-on clinical insights that enhanced participants’ understanding of advanced surgical concepts and predictable treatment outcomes.
Postgraduate students from the MDS Periodontics Program and trainees from the Clinical Certificate in Implantology Program, together with faculty members from the CoD, attended the sessions with great enthusiasm. The college extends its heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Homa Zadeh for his valuable contribution to academic enrichment and to Total Core Academy for hosting and supporting this educational initiative aimed at advancing clinical excellence in periodontology and implant dentistry.
