Prof. Wojciech Załuska is a Professor of Medicine at the Department of Nephrology, Medical University of Lublin, Poland.

Graduating with Honors from the Medical University of Lublin in 1986, Prof. Wojciech did his postgraduation internship in pediatrics, gynecology, general surgery and internal medicine. After completing his Ph.D. at the University’s Department of Nephrology in 1992, he has undergone specialized training in various departments like internal medicine, nephrology, public health, hypertension and transplantation. His international education includes higher studies and advanced trainings at Johanniter Kinderklinik – Germany, German Research Academy, Fresenius A.G. Grand – Germany, Beth Israel Medical Center – USA, Knoll AG- Spain, etc.

Prof. Wojciech Załuska has been appointed to high-ranking academic positions in renowned institutions like the Medical University of Lublin, Justus Liebieg University – Germany, Albert Einstein College of Medicine – USA etc. He has also held senior positions like Chair and Member of the International Accreditation Committee Board at the Medical University of Lublin, Poland, Expert in Medical Education, Chair and Member of the Faculty Council for Education and Chair and Member of the Organizing Committee of the First European Medical Simulation Conference for Students and Young Doctors with Lecturers from Virginia Commonwealth University, Virginia, USA. He has been a member of the Polish National Scientific Center Board since 2017.

Prof. Wojciech Załuska has been an active participant in international meetings and congresses across the globe. He is a member of medical societies like the American Society of Nephrology, American Society for Artificial Internal Organs, European Dialysis and Transplant Association, Polish Society of Nephrology and the Polish Society of Transplantation.

He has been involved in advanced research in nephrology and has co-authored more than 130 manuscripts and 10 chapters in nephrology and hypertension books and journals. A well-traveled man, Prof. Zaluska is proficient in four languages; Polish, English, German & Russian.
