Internationally renowned physiotherapist Mr. Brian Mulligan, FNZSP (Hon), Diploma M.T., Creator of Mulligan concept of mobilization conducted a one day workshop on Mulligan’s Techniques in Management of Pain and Discomfort at Gulf Medical College in Ajman on the 22nd of March 2007.  Mulligan is a Honorary Fellow of The New Zealand Society of Physiotherapists has a private practice in Wellington, New Zealand and is an International Lecturer in manual therapy. Internationally he has taught in many countries since 1972 including the USA (78 Cities), UK, Australia, Germany, Singapore, Canada and The Netherlands.
Mulligan was assisted by Mr. Deepak Kumar, BPT, M.S.P.T, COMT (Curtin Univ. Australia), M.C.T.A., M.I.A.P. He is a Certified Mulligan Concept Teacher is an H.O.D. & Sr. Consultant Manipulative Physiotherapist is among the 42 accredited manual therapy teachers all over the world. Association of Kerala Medical Graduates and Gulf Medical College in association with the Ministry of Health-Ajman organized joint conferences on Diabetes, Obesity & Bronchial Asthma and New Concepts in Dentistry at the Gulf Medical College on the 21st of March 2007 at Gulf Medical College Ajman. Over 300 doctors from all over UAE attended the conference.

His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Majid Bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Chairman Ruler’s Court Ajman, inaugurated the conference. Mr. Hamad Taryam Al Shamsi, Director Ministry of Health Ajman, officials from the Ministry of Health, Mr. Thumbay Moideen President Gulf Medical College, Dr. M. K. Ibrahim, President AKMG Emirates and a host of dignitaries were present on the occasion. Prof. Gita Ashok Raj, Dean Gulf Medical College welcomed the delegates. In his special remarks Dr. Ibrahim said that AKMG is pleased to join hands with a prestigious institution like the Gulf Medical College to organize such joint conferences.
